2026 Season Begins
May 11, 2026
Most people don’t sign up because of the swim
Not because they can’t do it.
Because they’re not comfortable with it yet.
That’s normal.
This is where that changes.
Once you’ve done this, the race becomes simple.
You don’t need to feel ready before you sign up
You just need a place to start.
This is that step.
What this is (and what it isn’t)
This is not a race
There’s no pressure to perform
You can go at your own pace
You can stop, reset, and try again
This is where you figure it out BEFORE RACE DAY.
This is for you if…
You’re unsure about open water swimming
You’ve never swum outside a pool
You’re thinking about the race but the swim is holding you back
You want to practice before your first triathlon
You want to feel more confident in the water
What you’ll actually do
Practice swimming in open water
Learn how to sight and stay on course
Get comfortable starting and stopping
Learn how to manage nerves in the water
Ask questions and get real guidance
You’re not doing this alone
Lifeguards and safety support are always present
Coaches are in the water and on shore
You can stay close to shore if needed
You are never required to go beyond your comfort level
Watch what it’s like
This is what people expect it to feel like:
Overwhelming.
Uncertain.
Stressful.
This is what it actually looks like:

Still not sure about the swim?
You can still be part of Mighty Moraine Multi-Sport events.
There are race options that don’t include the swim.
You don’t have to figure everything out at once.
This is the part that stops most people
Once it’s not a question anymore,
everything else becomes easier.
You don’t need to solve everything today.
You just need to take the first step.
