Most Commonly Violated Rules
Helmets must be worn and buckled at all times during the bike segment.
Drafting is not allowed; maintain a safe distance from other cyclists.
Keep your torso covered during the bike segment.
Know and follow the prescribed course.
Only enter and exit transition at designated areas.
Properly affix your race number during the bike and run segments.
Stay within the designated transition area.
Abide by the "no glass containers" rule.
USAT Wetsuit Rules
Water Temperature 78 degrees or lower: Wetsuits allowed.
Water Temperature 78.1 – 83.9 degrees: Wetsuits allowed, but no awards; novice category available.
Water Temperature 84 degrees or above: No wetsuits allowed.

Below 58 degrees: Wetsuit mandatory; competitors without a wetsuit cannot compete
